Rev. Daryell Jackson
Rev. Daryell Jackson is a native of Salt Lake City, UT. He attended local area public schools and is a graduate of West High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies from the University of Grand Canyon.
He has been a member of the A.M.E. Church since 1995. Accepted his call to preach under the leadership of Rev. Philis J.Griffin. He was appointed to serve in various offices and positions within the church, which include the following: President of the Choir, Trustee Board, Young People’s Division, Steward Board, and Commission on Stewardship and Finance. He faithfully served as assistant to Rev. Nurjhan Govan at Trinity A.M.E. Church, Salt Lake City, UT, 2014 – 2016.
Rev. Jackson is an anointed man of God, with the character of being a humble man and a Do as I Do and not as I say attitude. Daryell is a retired Master Sergeant, he served in the United States Marine Corps 1985-1989 as well as the United States Army 1989-2014 a total of twenty-nine years active duty. He retired honorably in September 2014 and received numerous medals of honor and commendation letters.
Rev. Jackson was appointed to serve as the Supply Pastor of Embry Chapel A.M.E. Church in November 2016, carrying out all the duties and responsibilities of God’s called Shepherd. He served as Pastor of Embry Chapel Nov 2016 – Nov 2018 diligently. Rev. Jackson was then appointed as the Supply Pastor to Historic Trinity A.M.E. Church in November 2018 to the present. He has a sense of love and compassion for the people and is a great asset to Historic Trinity A.M.E. Church and the community. He is respected by his peers and community leaders for his Christian leadership in Utah.
Rev. Jackson is the father of three daughters, one son, he has two granddaughters and provides care and support to his older sister.
His favorite scripture Psalm 121:1-2: I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
